My beautiful children

February 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I have been feeling very down over the last few days. Things easily get on top of you and you can’t help but let them sometimes – if that makes any sense!!!

The main problem has been my dad’s illness. It’s so upsetting to see how ill he is at the moment, and there is nothing I can do to help him. He had an appointment at the hospital today, checking for heart disease, which I had already prepared myself for the hospital reporting that his heart is getting worse as he has been rather sick lately. He still needs to go for a major op ASAP. This is just one of many appointments he will have to attend before the op!!

My husband has been great the last few days. Helping take my mind off things and just generally being very lovely towards me (I think we all need a break sometimes – my parents are hoping to take a trip to Paris very soon, just to recharge their batteries.)

We went out to the park with the kids a couple of days ago, and they cheered me up so much. My four year old daughter was using the digital camera and took some very funny pictures that we laughed at when we got home – most of them being of our three year old boy posing!! They play so well together and are always laughing and smiling. They make me so happy when I see them getting along so well. Of course this is not all the time. They can argue so much, you would think I had twenty kids in the house, instead of two!!

My husband and I also went out shopping today with the kids, and usually they play up something terrible at the shops. They hate shopping, and make sure we know about it!!! Yet, today they were so good. They held my hands all the Way round the shops we wanted to go to and didn’t complain once about being tired or wanting to go home.

We then went for a nice pub lunch, and they were equally as good. They ate all of their lunch, and didn’t nag for a dessert. They didn’t even sit and fight as they usually would!! So, we then decided they had been such great kids, we treated them to a toy shop visit (this is usually a no-no because they run riot, screaming, shouting – it’s very scary!!!) and they were really great. They were quiet and played nice with the different toys they came across; and when I said it was time to leave – they followed!!!

They have made me so proud and so happy.Especially with how I am feeling at the moment. My children can always make me very happy. I love them both so much.

Thanks for reading
